Do you remember Bollywood director Prakash Jha? The iconic filmmaker behind the super hit hindi movies like Gangaajal (2003) with Ajay Devgn, Apaharian (2005), Rajneeti (2010), and many others.
Prakash is one of the most renowned directors in the country having received plaudits for several of his projects. The director has even won national awards for his work on films like Damul and Sonal.
Right now, Prakash is busy at the helm of Bobby Deol Ashram season 3, with the trailer for the final season just released.
Now, while Prakash has worked with many Bollywood actors in his films, he had some very harsh things to say about them in his latest interview.
During a speech at Goafest 2022, Jha said he was disgusted with the actors working in the country.
“I was disgusted by the actors working here in India. They don’t know what it’s like to act. No actor asked me about shooting days, shooting times, locations, the action sequences, etc. And that’s the difference between actors in Hollywood and those in Bollywood, actors attend workshops there and continue to practice and improve their craft.
“I would quietly enroll as a student. And that’s how I understood the language of an actor. I played Shakespeare and other plays in class, which gave me a lot of trust.” he said.
In 2020, Prakash also spoke about the controversies around each of his projects.
“It always happens with all my work, before it’s released someone will go to court, governments will ban my films and people are worried. But once the film comes out everything is calm and it’s going to happen this times too,” he said.
The last season of Ashram will see Bobby return as the self-proclaimed god Baba Nirala of Kashipur.
