After Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover, several Hollywood actors are talking about Exodus while some are still skeptical


Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter has become an ever-buzzing conversation. The Tesla Motors CEO recently acquired Twitter in a $44 billion deal and took the company’s CEO seat. As soon as this news spread like wildfire, several Hollywood celebrities logged off Twitter and some speculated about where they stood.

1. Sara Bareilles

The singer-actor opened up about leaving Twitter and shared, “Welp. It was fun, Twitter. I’m out,” the Grammy-winning artist wrote on Sunday, adding, “See you on other platforms, homies. Sorry, this one just ain’t for me.”

2.Josh Gad

The Beauty and the Beast actor opened up about his confusion over whether to leave or stay on the platform, citing his fear that hate speech would worsen there. He tweeted: “A big exodus is happening on this platform. I don’t know if I’m staying or not. I’m leaning towards staying, but if today is a sign of things to come, I don’t know what the point is. Freedom of expression is great. Hate speech intended to incite evil, (without consequences) is not what I signed up for”.

3. George Takei

Star Trek actor George Takei decided to stay on Twitter, speak out, and fight back. He tweeted: “I’m not going anywhere. And my follower count has actually increased! We need each other’s voice and strength, and I’ve never been shy about fighting. When Twitler and the other deplorables are released here, I’ll be more than a thorn in their side.”

4. Ron Perlman

The Quest Of Fire actor also quit Twitter and announced his decision, writing, “Welcome Elon you little bitch. And twitter…..”

5. Leoni Tea

The American actress who landed her breakout starring role in the 1995 action comedy film Bad Boys, shared with her 124,000 followers and wrote: “Hi everyone. I’m leaving Twitter today – let’s see where we’ll be when the dust settles. Today the dust has revealed too much hate, too much in the wrong way”. She added, “Love, kindness and possibilities for all of you.”

6. Jameela Jamil

Earlier in April, Jamil expressed his departure from Twitter, saying, “One good thing about Elon buying Twitter is that I will *FINALLY* leave and stop being a total threat to society here. That’s so really a win-win for all of you.” His last tweet was on October 27, before Musk officially bought the company.
