She wrote in The daily mail : “Richard started having trouble with my involvement from the start of the show.
“It was so difficult for him that I remember wondering if they had ever seen a contestant walk away from the show before they had even performed their first dance.”
The singer also called for more support for the contestants and their families.
She wrote: “I think they should have an advisor, just to check with the candidates.
“Richard started seeing a counselor after being on the show about a month, and that really helped me. Maybe I should have too.”
