It is one of the OG Bollywood movies that made Sonam Kapoor Ahuja a fashion icon. The film‘s plot largely depends on the characters’ clothing choices, which range from high street to high fashion. As for the plot, it revolves around a few friends who fall in love with men diametrically opposed to their own personalities.
2. “No Idea”
If you watched both Aisha and clueless, you probably would have noticed the similarities between the two films. In the Hollywood version, Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) is a privileged high school girl who loves playing Cupid. However, when one of her decisions goes wrong, she is forced to face her own intentions and feelings. If you care about vintage fashion, this movie is for you.
3. “Dil Dhadakne Do”

Zoya Akhtar’s film Dil Dhadakne Do mainly focuses on the wealthy Mehra family who go on an exclusive cruise to celebrate the wedding anniversary of Kamal (Anil Kapoor) and Neelam Mehra (Shefali Shah). Actors, from Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Anushka Sharma to Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhta, dress according to their characters’ social status and personality. If you missed getting dressed for your vacation, this movie will help you live vicariously.

There is no doubt that it is one of the best Bollywood movies ever made. However, apart from the intriguing and inspiring storyline, the movie also deserves applause for dressing Sridevi’s character in some of the finest sarees. From simple cotton pieces to chiffon pieces, she really wears beautiful sarees that can be worn on a daily basis. Our favorite is the red saree she adorns for the film’s climactic scene.
5. ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’

No matter how far the fashion advances, there’s no denying that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wore some of the finest lehengas and saris in this film. In the first half of the film, we see her mostly dressed lehenga cholis. In the second half, however, she mostly stuck to chiffon, monotonous sarees that reflected her mood. If we’re being honest, we’d love to steal her wardrobe from the movie.
