Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie Are Hollywood Stars Partying in First ‘Babylon’ Trailer

The decadent portrayal of Hollywood’s Golden Age is fueled by cocaine, classic cars and Tommy Guns.

The overly ambitious and overly decadent attitudes of Hollywood’s Golden Age are presented in style in the new trailer for Babylon Oscar winner The Earth director Damien Chazelle.

The trailer’s opening sequence features a powder-nosed Margot Robbie concluding a coked conversation with a butler, “I just want everyone to party forever.” This sets the tone for the debauched scenes that follow depicting topless parties, decadent Dusenbergs, and even Tommy Gun-equipped gangster warfare.

Starring Robbie as a ’20s bombshell and Brad Pitt as a suave movie star, Variety notes that Babylon is set in the 1920s amid the motion picture industry’s transition from silent films to talkies.

The over-the-top period piece will chronicle the rise and fall of multiple characters played by an ensemble cast including Diego Calva, Tobey Maguire, Max Minghella, Spike Jonze, Jean Smart, Flea, Jeff Garlin, PJ Byrne, Samara Weaving and Olivia Sauvage.

Babylon will be released in select theaters on December 25 and in national theaters on January 6. Watch the first official trailer above.
