On Friday afternoon, Chase viewers were left bemused as contestant Caroline admitted she had never watched two classic movies.
Host Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestants to the show and was eager to see them advance to the final with some cash on hand.
Anne Hegerty, aka The Governess, was in the hot seat trying to prevent Hopes from returning home with the cash prize.
Henry, Beth, Caroline and Jasen all took turns taking on the Cash Generator and then clashed with The Governess in an intense series of general knowledge questions.
Jasen was the first competitor to try his luck but was unfortunately caught by Anne during the head-to-head.
Caroline had a lot of pressure to bring money back to the table and scored an impressive £ 6,000 in her cash generation round.
The contestant left viewers bewildered during her time on the show as she admitted she had never watched the classic Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins movies.
Fans watching at home rushed to their keyboards to discuss Caroline’s confession.
Speaking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Haven’t you watched Mary Poppins or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? What kind of twisted childhood did Caroline have?”
Another added: “Has she never seen Mary Poppins or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?”
A third person posted: “How didn’t she look at Mary Poppins or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?”
While a fourth social media user said, “She’s never seen Chitty or Mary Poppins? Hope she loses.”
Elsewhere in the series, Caroline stumbled upon another question about the film.
Bradley asked, “In which 1939 movie did Judy Garland play a character called Dorothy?”
Caroline replied: “Casablanca” instead of The Wizard of Oz.
Despite her lack of film knowledge, Caroline managed to make it all the way to the final chase.

The nominee was joined by his teammate Henry, who added £ 8,000 to the prize fund.
Caroline and Henry were 18 steps ahead of Anne in the final pursuit, but managed to catch up with the duo with 18 seconds remaining on the clock.
Bradley was forced to take the £ 14,000 away from them and the duo returned home empty-handed.
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5 p.m.
