Chase fans screamed across their screens on Friday after The Dark Destroyer failed to answer a simple question.
Minutes after the show started, The Dark Destroyer, real name Shaun Wallace, was asked about Disney songs.
Reading the question to the lawyer and speaker, host Bradley Walsh said, “Which of these Disney songs is NOT sung by characters while forgetting and eating bugs in the jungle?”
The options were, The Lion King’s Hakuna Matata, The Jungle Book’s Bare Necessities, and The Wind Colors of Pocahontas.
The Dark Destroyer chose The Bare Necessities – which was incorrect.
The correct answer was Colors of the Wind which is sung by Pocahontas as she walks through the forest.
In a double knock at The Chaser, the first contestant of the day Christie answered the question.
The teaching assistant from Swansea in Wales quickly responded with the correct answer, bringing her closer to home and safety.
Explaining to The Dark Destroyer, as Christie stared with her mouth open, Bradley said, “Yeah, that’s with Baloo.
“That’s when they eat all the apples and stuff like that so I can see where you went wrong.”
Not stopping there, he added: “You don’t watch TV or movies”.
The failure was quickly echoed by viewers who flocked to social media.
Speaking to Twitter, a spectator raged: “YOU GOT KIDDING SHAUN BD!
“The Bare Necessities is literally a song about foraging. Sheeesh! #TheChase.”
Another exasperated fan simply tweeted, “Really Shaun? #TheChase.”
The failure saw Chrissie return to the rest of her squad with an impressive £ 4,000 in the prize pot.
The Chase continues weekdays at 5 p.m. on ITV
