Hollywood legend Christopher Plummer, who became the oldest actor to receive an Oscar in 2012, died on Friday February 5 at the age of 91. Christopher died at his Connecticut home while his wife Elaine Taylor was by his side.
“Chris was an amazing man who loved and deeply respected his job with old-fashioned beautiful manners, self-deprecating humor and the music of words,” Lou Pitt, his 46-year-old manager, revealed in a statement, via The Hollywood Report. “He was a national treasure who deeply savored his Canadian roots. With his artistry and his humanity, he touched all of our hearts and his legendary life will last for generations to come. He will be with us forever.”
Known for her performances in cinema and theater, she is remembered as Captain Von Trapp when she starred alongside Julie Andrews in the 1965 film. The sound of music.
Hollywood stars including Knives Out Actors Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ana De Armas and Sebastian Stan, Kathy Bates, William Shatner and many more have taken to social media to pay their respects.
