First look at Hollywood stars Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey on the set of the movie Disenchanted

Check out the first images of Hollywood stars Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey together in Ireland for the filming of their new Disney movie Disenchanted.

Our world exclusive snaps were taken in Enniskerry, County Wicklow over the week and it’s clear the stars are filming scenes set in modern day America, where they are pictured here driving a sedan.

Remarkably, this is the first time Amy has been photographed in public since arriving here in May. The American actress’ only confirmation to date that she is filming here is an Instagram post she made while landing on the Emerald Isle.

Enniskerry had been transformed in recent weeks to appear as a fairytale location set in medieval times, similar to some of the scenes from the original Enchanted film, which was later transformed to present day New York.

But buildings in Enniskerry have now been altered to give them a modern look, with American flags hanging from many buildings.

No expense was spared on the County Wicklow set, with people traveling from far and wide to admire the magical scenes, which will sadly be taken down.

Outdoor filming is now set to resume inside the RDS in Ballsbridge. The Sunday World can also reveal that it appears the characters of Amy and Patrick have become parents, as not only was Amy spotted rolling a pram on set during the week, but it appears they have children in their car.

Hundreds of extras were employed during the filming of the film, with filming in Enniskerry ending on Wednesday, having started filming here on June 14.

We can also divulge that TV presenter Craig Doyle came by during the week to see the activity, as a few of his children have minor roles in the film.

We previously revealed how Amy and Patrick were locked up in Dublin’s lavish Intercontinental Hotel in separate suites. Dempsey was photographed at the end of May on the Dundalk station set for a scene.

The 55-year-old, who played famed Dr Derek ‘McDreamy’ Shepherd on Grey’s Anatomy, has spent much of his free time touring the country. He took a trip to Leo Burdock’s famous shredder in Dublin and captioned his image of the shredder with a bit of Dublin slang: “Bleeding deadly!”

Dempsey has also appeared in several other Dublin locations in recent days, posting images of himself at Louis Copeland tailors in Dublin, at a Porche dealership in Charlestown in the capital.

The father-of-three was also pictured wearing an Aran sweater made by Inis Meain, raving: ‘I love being in Ireland and having so much fun working on this film’.

Dempsey also visited other Irish venues, such as Dalkey Island earlier this month.

Filming is also taking place in Greystones, Co Wicklow, where a stunning house that has been transformed to look like a pink castle will also feature in the film. Other scenes were filmed at Powerscourt Waterfall.

The previous Enchanted film from 2007 cost €70 million and the new production is thought to cost a similar amount. The last film earned 280 million euros at the box office.

The original film saw Adams play animated princess Giselle, who is transported to the real world of New York City. There, she falls in love with cynical divorce lawyer Robert Phillip (Dempsey).

The film is set 10 years after the first film, with Giselle “finding herself questioning her happily ever after life and accidentally triggering life-changing events for everyone both in the real world and in Andalusia”.
