Five Women’s Olympic Medalists, Notable Hollywood Actors, and Upbeat Music and Comedy Groups Travel to U.S. Bases Around the World as Part of Armed Forces Entertainment’s Fall Tour

Olympic Champions, Ambassadors of Hollywoodmusician Bryce Vine and comedian Daniel Dugar & Friends bring energy and laughter to American service members overseas September 14

JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md., September 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Athletes, actors, musicians and comedians are all bringing their gifts to share with U.S. service members serving overseas as part of Armed Forces Entertainment’s fall tour, which kicks off September 14October 30.

Five female athletes who have represented United States in gymnastics, athletics, basketball, soccer and swimming The Olympic Champions Tour, a group of exceptional athletes who are ready to inspire the next generation. They are heading towards Southwest Asia September 15 –24 to share what it takes to compete at all levels. World champions Mohini Bhardwaj, Monique Hennegan, Shannon Johnson, Natasha Kaiand Emily Silver and will share motivational stories and strategies on mental toughness, dealing with adversity and how to succeed in athletics and in life.

After a brilliant academic career at UCLA, gymnast Mohini claimed her spot on the 2004 United States Women’s Olympic Team, which won silver that year. She is the first Indian-American gymnast to win a medal at the Olympics.

The Hennegan trail runner was named an All-American while at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, Monique was a two-time NCAA track and field champion in the 400 meters indoor and 800 meters outdoor in 1996. She is a two-time Olympian, representing the United States in sydney and Athensand won gold at the 2000 and 2004 Games for the 4×400 meter relay.

College basketball star Johnson has gone from a record-breaking career to University of South Carolina playing professionally in the ABL and WNBA for ten years, and was named a four-time WNBA All-Star. Johnson was part of the 2004 Olympic team that won gold in Athens.

Football star Kai played at University of Hawaii where she set numerous school records and continued to perform professionally. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in beijingKai scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lead the American past Canada in the quarter-finals, and paved the way for the team UNITED STATES to finally win the gold.

Swimmer Silver burst onto the swimming scene with an incredible high school career that was only more impressive at UC Berkeley. In 2007, she won gold in the 4×100 meter freestyle relay and silver in the 4×100 meter medley relay at the World University Games. In 2008, Silver claimed her spot on the US Olympic team that won silver in the 4×100 meter freestyle relay at the Beijing Olympics.

comedians Daniel Dugar, A-Train and Lance Woods are heading towards South Korea September 14 – 17. The talented three-person team are known for their quick wits and fun side. Headlining Daniel Dugar performs in comedy clubs and colleges in the United States and is a star performer in the hip-hop comedy scene. Dugar is joined by the comedian A train, a clean comic with an electrifying stage presence. He is the producer and host of the longest-running independent comedy and variety series, A-Train Live The Experience, in his hometown of Jacksonville. These two are joined by the brilliant new voice of Spear Wood, which brings a fresh and fun perspective on real life to the stage. Together they will play September 14Camp Casey; September 15Kunsan Air Base; September 16, Osan, airbase; and September 17Camp Humphreys.

Three hard workers Hollywood actors head to bases throughout Europe September 17October 2 to bring U.S. troops and their families a little glitter from home as part of the Hollywood Ambassadors Tour. These familiar faces include actors Greg Germann, John C. McGinley and Tiya Sircar who have starred in many long-running programs, including Ally McBeal, NCIS, Section, Scrubs, The right placeand East End Witches to name a few. Service members can walk the red carpet to meet and greet events filled with photo ops and stories about life as Hollywood initiated.

Broadway and television actor Germann is well known for his five seasons as Richard Fish on the legal comedy series Ally McBeal, which earned him a Screen Actors Guild award and two Emmy nominations. He also played Larry Dennit, Jr. in Talladega Nights. Germann appeared in NCIS since Season 10, playing Deputy Director of NCIS Jerome Craig.

versatile actor McGinley has become a fan favorite since he started his Hollywood career in 1985, notably for his roles in Scrubs, Section, Breaking point, The Rock, Se7en, Any Sunday and Burn Notice. McGinley’s impressive career spans a wide range of characters in over 70 films to date.

With 61 movies and TV shows credited to his name, Sircar is well known for her lead role opposite co-star Zach Braff in the sitcom Alex, Inc. and her role in the hit comedy The right placewhere she played opposite Kristen Bell and Ted Danson. Sircar also benefited from guest spots on master of nothing, The Mindy Project, East End Witches, The Vampire Diaries, Crazypeople, Hannah Montana and The suite life on deck. She is both a talented on-screen actress and voice-over artist.

Multi-platinum recording artist Bryce Vine first caught our eye with his hit “Drew Barrymore,” and we’ve been fans ever since. His ode to his California origins “La La Land” gave him his next peak, and he collaborated with artists such as G, Cheat Codes, Loud Luxury, Jeremih, Wale, Parmalee, white brown and others. Vine’s lyrical groove and catchy beats make him a fan favorite. He is going to Korea and will perform October 26 to Camp Humphreys, then to Japan October 27 at Osan Air Base, October 29 at Yokota Air Base and CFA Yokosuka October 30.
