#1 Father of the Bride

We are talking about the 1991 version and not the newly created one. The 1991 version stars Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, Martin Short, Kimberly Williams and others. This American romantic comedy has won numerous awards, including Best Picture at the 1993 BMI Film Awards. Telling the story of George Banks, the film shows a father who finds it difficult to let go of his daughter when she decides to marry. The beautiful relationship between a father and his daughter is beautifully portrayed in this film, making it perfect for Father’s Day.

Directed by Sean Anders, this comedic film tells the story of a mild-mannered stepfather who struggles to get the attention of his wife’s children when their biological father returns. This touching story of how a father raises his daughter alone after the sudden death of his late wife a day after the birth of their daughter is a must-watch. The 2021 film explores how a widowed father shatters all stereotypes in society as he strives to give the best for his daughter. Starring Kevin Hart, Melody Hurd, Anthony Carrigan and others in lead roles, the film was directed by Paul Weitz.

Yet another Hollywood comedy with 2 parts to binge on, this Adam Sandler movie is the perfect choice to watch with your dad this Father’s Day. With a huge star cast including Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and others in the lead roles, the film was directed by Dennis Dugan. The film tells the story of five childhood friends who take their family for the weekend to a lakeside house in their hometown. They reunite and attend the funeral of their former high school basketball coach. This film beautifully depicts the difference between the two generations and their friendships.

Directed by Adam Brooks, this 2008 film tells the story of a father in his thirties in the middle of a divorce. He is questioned by his ten-year-old daughter about his life before marriage, which causes him to reminisce about his memories. Bring your dad back to his youth by watching this movie together for Father’s Day. The film’s cast includes Ryan Reynolds, Abigail Breslin, Isla Fisher, and others in prominent roles.
