Celebrities and football legends from all over come together once again as England take on the rest of the world in the ultimate match – Football aid 2021.
First launched in 2006, created by Robbie Williams and Jonathan Wilkes, Soccer Aid has raised over £ 38million for Unicef UK.
The event raises an incredible amount of charity, in addition to providing fantastic entertainment in the form of celebrities taking on some of the game’s most talented footballers.
This year the England squad is led by Olly Murs and also includes singer James Arthur, Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah, comedian Joel Dommett and TV personality Mark Wright.
Legends of their team include Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes, Jamie Redknapp and David James, as they are led by former England manager Sven-Göran Eriksson.
In the World Team, sprinting legend Usain Bolt is the team captain, which includes Love Island winner Kem Cetinay, Line of Duty star Martin Compston and singer Tom Grennan, along with their team legends. including Roberto Carlos, Pablo Zabaleta and Julie Fleeting.
While some celebrities and legends will debut with Soccer Aid, others will return to the pitch, having been in the game before.

Olly Murs is the celebrity who has played the most soccer Aid games, having been part of seven.
His first match was in 2010, captain of the England team in 2018, 2020 and 2021.
Ben Shephard also made seven appearances for Soccer Aid, having appeared in the very first game in 2006.
In 2018, the TV presenter had to withdraw from the game due to injury, so he was on the coaching staff instead.
Robbie Williams, one of the spirits behind Soccer Aid, has made seven appearances in total, three playing and four in a coaching role.
Robbie was the England team captain in 2006 and 2010 and is one of the team’s coaches for 2021.
Chase presenter Bradley Walsh is a regular at Soccer Aid, having made a total of eight appearances over the years.
Bradley’s first two appearances were as a player, before going on to coach six times.
Which legend has made the most appearances for Soccer Aid?
Former England and Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman has made the most appearances for Soccer Aid among all legends, appearing nine times.
The only year David missed was 2020, and appearing as England coach in 2021.
Former Tottenham Hotspur and England footballer Jamie Redknapp has played Soccer Aid seven times, appearing in Soccer Aid’s very first match 15 years ago.
He is back this year, not having participated in the 2020 game.
Dutch football coach Jaap Stam, currently the coach of FC Cincinnati, has appeared in Soccer Aid five times.
Throughout his professional football career, Jaap has paid for teams such as Manchester United, Ajaz and Milan.
Harry Redknapp and Sam Allardyce
Harry Redknapp and Sam Allardyce have both coached at Soccer Aid six times.
Harry has coached the England team twice and the rest of the world team four times, while Sam has coached the England team six times.
Soccer Aid kicks off on Saturday, September 4, with coverage starting at 6:30 p.m. on ITV.
