Hollywood and Bollywood are two of the most important film industries in the world. The absolute figures that they manage to produce separately give them the pedestal. In this case, the two paths crossing are not a shocking sight. While Bollywood is spotted in Hollywood films, it is starting to crack down now, but the reverse has also been happening for several years. We managed to bring in the biggest stars in the west for a dance sequence, guys (he’s on the list too). What can be a step ahead of that?

Today on Koimoi, as both industries continue to grow and prosper, we are listing 5 Hollywood actors who have made pivotal appearances in Bollywood movies. Akshay Kumar deserves half the credit for this as he roped in almost a quarter of the west at Kambakkht Ishq. Continue reading.

Will Smith

Let’s face it, you obviously expected that name. So we first addressed the elephant. Our hearts wept watching the Hollywood movie Pursuit Of Happiness back then. He cried more when we saw Will Smith dancing at a prom held at Karan Johar, produced Student Of The Year 2. Emotions were clearly different though, you’re smart to understand. SOTY2’s accomplishments outside of Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday’s fancy wardrobe also convinced Smith

Sylvester Stallone

Now I know you’re a little surprised at this point because we clearly forgot about this one and where we saw it. Well, that’s fine if you’re a Stallone fan, remember him for his iconic work instead. As Akshay Kumar says roped into a quarter of Hollywood for his film alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kambakkht Ishq. To jog your memory, the Rambo star appears in a sequence where Kareena is surrounded by goons and saves her from them.

Clive Standen

Clive Standen has created a fan base with shows like Doctor Who, BBC’s Robin Hood and the greatest of all Vikings. You least expected to see this charmer in a Bollywood movie, that too alongside Katrina Kaif. The Hollywood actor played Katrina’s love interest for Namastey London, remember the man she’s about to marry? Akshay Kumar is there too! Well, remember that the next time you binge on Doctor Who, Clive also has Namastey London under his belt.

Sarah Thompson:

Sarah Thompson has a filmography to envy and we can’t really imagine her making a Bollywood film for her at the moment. But take a trip back and you’ll find Ranbir Kapoor’s love interest for Prakash Raj’s Raajneeti. Her role played a pivotal role in the film and continued to garner accolades for herself.

Ben Kingsley:

No, it’s not Gandhi, it wasn’t a Bollywood movie. Ben Kingsley is an actor who won him an Oscar for playing the father of the nation. Apart from that, the veteran actor has Hollywood projects like Schindler’s List, Shutter Island, Iron Man 3, A Common Man and Hugo under his belt. But did you know that he also collaborated with Amitabh Bachchan? Yes guys, it was Teen Patti. Next time you turn on the movie, pay attention to the scene between Ben and Big B.
