In the midst of a gloomy year that left us confined to our homes for a long time in the midst of the pandemic, it was the movies that brought us much-needed relief by bringing us stories from all over the world. Thanks to these films, we have had the chance to travel to all the places we have missed seeing since the vacation was canceled. After giving us the much-needed entertainment in the midst of these two difficult years, we are preparing for 2022 to have bigger surprises in store for us.

After facing production and release delays over the past couple of years, several major releases are now scheduled for next year and with a few days of 2022 we bring you the list of all the great movies that will be released in. the year to come. From superhero movies to romantic dramas and horror, here’s a look at all of the major movie releases slated for next year.

Scream

One of the most famous slasher movies, the Scream franchise is getting a new movie in 2022 with the OG cast from Courteney Cox and David Arquette back. The film is set to start the New Year on a spooky note when it releases on January 14, 2022. T

Morbius

Jared Leto is set to take on the famous MCU character of Michael Morbius in the upcoming movie titled Morbius. Daniel Espinosa’s film will be released on January 28, 2022.

Marry me

Jennifer lopez returns to the big screen after 2019 Hustlers with Marry Me. The film stars Maluma and Owen Wilson as the lead. The romantic drama will be released just in time for Valentine’s Day on February 11, 2022.

Unexplored

After wrapping up 2021 with Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland is set to kick off the New Year with Uncharted alongside Mark Wahlberg. The film is scheduled for release on February 18, 2022.

The batman

Robert Pattinson takes on the role of a superhero for the first time and fans are delighted to see him play the role of the caped crusader with The Batman. The film also stars Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman. This director by Matt Reeves will be hitting screens on March 4, 2022.

Recently the trailer for Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum and Brad Pitt’s upcoming film The Lost City came out and it looks more than entertaining. The film is scheduled for release on March 25, 2022.

Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore

The third film in the Fantastic Beasts franchise is slated for release in April 2022 and as Eddie Redmayne, Ezra Miller and others return, the film will mark Mads Mikkelsen’s debut as Gellert Grindelwald after replacing Johnny Depp.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

The sequel to Doctor Strange has been one of the most anticipated Marvel films. A teaser for the film was featured in the post-credits scene from Spider-Man: No Way Home. The film will see Elisabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff join Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange in the film. The MCU movie will be released on May 6, 2022.

Top Gun: Maverick

Tom Cruise returns for a sequel to one of the greatest movies of his career, Top Gun and fans are thrilled to see him reprise his role as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. The film is scheduled for release on May 26, 2022.

Thor: Love and Thunder

It’s been a while since fans were treated to a Thor movie and luckily a movie awaits us in 2022. Starring Chris Hemsworth, the film will also star Natalie Portman and mark Christian Bale’s debut in the MCU. . The film will be released on July 8, 2022.

High-speed train

David Leitch’s upcoming action thriller is based on Kōtarō Isaka’s novel Maria Beetle and stars Brad Pitt alongside Joey King, Lady Gaga among others. The film is scheduled to hit screens on July 15, 2022.

Black adam

July 2022 will have another superhero outing after Thor: Love and Thunder and it’s Dwayne Johnson’s DC movie Black Adam. The film will hit screens on July 29, 2022.

The director of Olivia Wilde with herself, Florence Pugh and Harry Styles was one of the most talked about movies during its production and will finally be released on September 23, 2022.

Mission: Impossible 7

Tom Cruise has two big releases slated for 2022 and after Top Gun 2 the actor will be seen in the seventh film in the Mission Impossible franchise. The movie starring Cruise and Hayley Atwell will be released on September 30, 2022.

Ticket to paradise

The iconic couple of George Clooney and Julia Roberts will be back with the romantic comedy Ticket to Paradise. It has been reported that the film will be released in October 2022.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Following the death of Chadwick Boseman, the sequel to Black Panther is going to be an emotional watch for MCU fans. The film focuses on Letitia Wright’s Shuri and is slated for release on November 11, 2022.

For Avatar fans, the wait has been long, and the sequel to James Cameron’s film is set to finally hit theaters on December 16, 2022.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

Jason Momoa’s Aquaman is set to return with a bigger, meaner movie starring Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The film will see Momoa, Amber Heard and Patrick Wilson reprise their roles from the first film. The film is scheduled for release on December 16, 2022.

Period piece by La La Land director Damien Chazelle with Brad pitt, Margot Robbie and Tobey Maguire are slated for release on December 25, 2022. The cast of the film has left fans looking forward to it.

Moon Flower Killers

Although a confirmed release date for Martin Scorsese’s film has yet to be confirmed, it will be released in 2022. The film is based on the 2017 non-fiction book of the same name by David Grann and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Brendan Fraser among others in a leading role.

Jurassic World: Dominion

The third installment of the Jurassic World franchise starring Chris Pratt in a leading role will hit screens in June 2022. The film will also bring back the cast of OG Jurassic Park from Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum.

One of the biggest releases of 2022 will be Knives Out 2 with Daniel Craig returning to the screen after his latest James Bond film No Time To Die. The Rian Johnson starter has yet to confirm his release date. The film consists of an eclectic cast including Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson, Jessica Henwick and Madelyn Cline, an escape from the “Outer Banks”.

The gray man

Based on the 2009 novel of the same name, The Gray Man is a Joe and Anthony Russo director who stars Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Rege-Jean Page, Dhanush, and Ana de Armas in the lead roles. The exact release date for this version from Netflix has yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to arrive in 2022.
