Bradley Walsh was baffled today when a contestant from The Chase revealed what she plans to do with her cash prize.

Four new players appeared on the popular ITV game show and took on Chaser Mark Labbett in a bid to win thousands of pounds.

Lindsay, a 54-year-old substitute teacher from North Yorkshire, was the first to face The Beast.

Host Bradley asked Lindsay about what she plans to do with the money she could make on tonight’s show.

She said: “We have a holiday home in East Germany and at the moment we have a septic tank, but we are putting it on the main feed so I would like to earn some money for it.”

Bradley gave a confused look before joking, “Yeah, that makes perfect sense.”

Fans of the show agreed with the host and all made the same point on Twitter that the country had not been called East Germany since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
