The life of BBC EastEnders star Stuart Highway, from Hollywood films to his lookalike daughter and the starring role in Albert Square

Ricky Champ has been a regular on our screens since taking on the role of Stuart Highway in EastEnders. From appearing in films such as The World’s End and Paddington 2 to gracing the stage performing in plays for the Royal Shakespeare Company and starring in Romeo and Juliet.

Among his many roles, he also appeared in the British classic, The Bill, in an episode in 2006. Before playing the role of Stuart in ‘Enders, he actually appeared in Albert Square nearly a decade before. He played a photographer who took pictures of Samantha Mitchell in the Queen Vic while Peggy watched.

He is now embroiled in a more serious storyline between his character, Stuart, and his wife, Rainie. Just like in real life, Stuart is expecting a baby, but worries grow. Their surrogate, Bernie, is unsure whether to give them the baby as Stuart has been diagnosed with breast cancer and the tumor has grown significantly in size.

Stuart Highway is currently going through a history of breast cancer

In his personal life, he was married to his wife Samantha Gilbert in 2016. They have a daughter together, Beatrix, who is four years old.

He announced in January that they would be expecting a baby in July this year to join their growing family. Fans on his and his wife’s Instagram commented on the resemblance between him and Beatrix, with Samantha even thinking the same.

His net worth is estimated between £1-3million but there are no official figures on this. He has come a long way since his first appearance in Albert Square and has now become a figurehead. Viewers will be watching to see what the aftermath of her breast cancer diagnosis and the baby’s story.
