A new list of the highest paid actors in the world has been released and Hollywood star Tom Cruise is leading the pack. According to the report, the Hollywood star took home a $100 million payday for Top Gun: Maverick. Second on the list is Will Smith who earned $35 million for the Apple TV+ movie Emancipation, followed by Leonardo DiCaprio in third place with Brad Pitt who earned $30 million for Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon and a Formula 1 film, respectively.


They are followed by stars like Dwayne Johnson, Will Ferrell, Chris Hemsworth, Vin Diesel and Tom Hardy, who billed $20 million for their releases; Black Adam, Spirited, Extraction 2, Fast X, and Venom 3, respectively. Joker 2 star Joaquin Phoenix was paid $4.5 million while Jason Mamoa earned $15 million for the Aquaman sequel and Ryan Gosling earned $12.5 million for Barbie, which will be released next year.


Stranger Things 4 star Millie Bobby Brown has been getting a lot of attention. She became the highest paid actress under 20 with her upcoming series Enola Holmes 2. According to reports, the young star will get $10 million for Enola Holmes 2.

Closer to home, the highest paid actors charge upwards of Rs 15-20 crore for films. For more bankable actors, the fees can range between Rs 35-40 crores for their movies. On the other hand, many big stars like the Khans take a markup on the movies they star in.
