GRAND Theft Auto V is the newest installment in the GTA franchise and its cast is packed with Hollywood’s best.
Character actors, comedians, and an adult actress made the roster of Rockstar Games’ all-time classic.
The Grand Theft Auto franchise is one of the hit video game series with over $9 billion in gross revenue.
GTA V is the second best-selling video game of all time with 160,000,000 copies sold.
The game, which was originally released in 2013 but has had regular updates, has survived the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, and Xbox 360.
As fans wait for the ultra-hyped GTA VI to hit the market, here’s a look at the star-studded GTA V cast.
Shawn Fonteno as Franklin Clinton
Shawn Fonteno is a longtime member of the GTA team.
He had a role in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in 2004 – the fifth installment in the GTA franchise.
Fontero’s character, Franklin, is a street hustler that users can play as in story mode.
Ned Luke as Michael DeSanta
Ned Luke’s character, Michael De Santa, is brought back to the streets after years on the run – he’s one of the game’s main playable protagonists.
Luke’s acting credits include the rare distinction of playing three different characters on Law & Order: SVU.
His most recent role was in American Gothic.
Steven Ogg as Trevor Phillips
Steven Ogg’s character Trevor Philips is a fan favorite for his aimless rampages using weapon cheat codes.
Users can enter a code to make the character gray and bald drunk and stumbling.
Ogg provided motion capture as well as Trevor’s voice.
Slink Johnson as Lamar Davis
Lamar Davis is a popular secondary character in GTA V.
In 2013, Slink Johnson’s portrayal of Davis won GiantBomb’s Best New Character award.
Davis has an in-game Rottweiler pet named Chop that can be partially controlled by the player.
Chris D’Elia as Drunk Driver
The Drunk Driver is an interactive character in the sandbox world of GTA V.
Depending on the protagonist under which the user is logged in, conversations and results with Drunk Driver will change.
The character is supposed to be voiced by controversial actor/comedian Chris D’Elia.
Several celebrities have played very minor on-screen roles or supported the GTA radio system, which activates when players board vehicles.
Lisa Ann, a former adult star turned sports podcaster, played a character named Prostitute #2 on one of the missions.
Comedians Danny McBride, JB Smoove and Hannibal Burress have all contributed to radio programming as DJs and hosts.
Dozens of celebrities have contributed to the GTA franchise – Ray Liotta, Joe Pantoliano and even original Dune movie star Kyle MacLachlan have done voice work for the series.
Rumor has it that Rockstar Games is harnessing some lesser-known talent for GTA VI, which is slated for release between 2023 and 2025.
