In F9, the young John Cena is played by the English actor Finn Cole. His casting placement was announced in 2019, although specific details and descriptions about his character were originally kept under wraps. Now viewers see Cole as young Jakob in flashbacks to Dom and Jakob’s younger years during the film. Cena praised his co-star for his portrayal of the character, saying Cole essentially created a mini prequel for the franchise. “Finn overpowered a young Jakob“said Cena.”It was a big role and a lot of expectations about it, and he pretty much filmed Fast and Furious 0. He filmed the prequel [to the series] and did an amazing job. “
Currently, Cole is best known for his television roles, although his long-standing involvement in the film Fast Furious timeline and franchises is without a doubt an important addition to his career. In his best-known role to date, Cole plays Michael Gray in Peaky Blinders, the BBC crime drama that focuses on a family of gangsters in the aftermath of the First World War. Cole also stars in TNT’s Animal Kingdom as Joshua “J” Cody, a 17-year-old boy who moves in with his distant criminal parents after his mother’s death.
In addition to F9, Cole has a few movie credits to his credit. Her first onscreen role was in the British action film Offender (2012), and he later appeared in the TV movie An inspector calls in 2015. Perhaps the most recognizable on the list is Rulez slaughterhouse (2018), the debut feature of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s film and television production company, Stolen Picture. Starring Cole, Pegg, and Frost, the horror comedy venture starred Asa Butterfield, Hermione Corfield, Michael Sheen, and Margot Robbie. For the future Fast Furious movies, there’s a good chance fans haven’t seen young Jakob’s latest – and maybe even Finn Cole.
